A few tips for outdoor massage in cooler weather…
Wear cozy clothing. The ideal massage is one where you stay comfortable. Since we are outdoors, that means dressing for the weather. We can happily work through long sleeve clothing, long pants, hoodies, or even blankets.
About those blankets! I’ve got special spa fabric blankets that can withstand the same high temp, disinfecting commercial laundry processes as our sheets. Like our sheets, these are laundered, handled only after using hand sanitizer, and then stored in airtight containers until their time of use. They are both warm and provide peace of mind.
Weather. I love working outdoors because it makes me feel connected to my surroundings. But it also means that we are at the mercy of the weather. For winds forecasted in the 15-20mph range, temporary tents such as ours need to have their covers (...ahem, sails) removed, and frames collapsed for safety reasons. This winter is a La Nina year, so expect some wind and rain reschedules. I’ll notify you if we need to reschedule for weather. Be sure that you have your latest and greatest phone number and email on your account so I can quickly get in touch with you.
Table Warmer. I have had so many people comment on the awesomeness of the table warmer over the years. I’ve added one to the outdoor table, so it can provide direct heat on chilly days. It makes for a toasty, cozy massage experience. It’s got a variable setting that allows for 10 levels of heat. If you get chilly at any point, just let me know, and we’ll find the right setting for you. Also, if you have any health concerns with the application of direct heat, we can double down on the blankets instead.
